Saturday Sparks Link Party 104

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 104!

This has been a busy week for us and I am ready for some inspiration.
Despite the beautiful and serene landscape that we find ourselves surrounded by, there is no denying the sheer power of Mother Nature. We joined many of our fellow Granite Stater's with roof issues this week. Our kitchen door had started to stick and I discovered a leak in the office.  My oh-so-clever husband knew the problem immediately. The heavy snow load on our roof was to blame. This was quickly followed by a long day of roof shoveling. There have been several roof collapses in our area. The 8th grade wing of our middle school has been shut down for the remainder of the year, due to structural issues caused by the snow. Thankfully, we were given a little warning and were able to take care of things before we had a much more serious problem.

"What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness."
 ~ John Steinbeck

  14. Shovelling our roof is usually an annual occurrence for us so I know what a big job that can be. Glad you discovered the problem in time. With mild temperatures for us this year, we've had a lot less snow and haven't had to get up on the roof at all. Thanks for hosting this wonderful party! Love all the inspiration!
